Too small to draw...

Carter loves to draw and I found this drawing he did this morning to be particularly good! He's getting really good at drawing people. I hope you can see all the little parts, as I know it's probably more difficult for someone else to see what it is. But he draws his people with spikey hair usually (the scribbly line at the top of the head) and then the circles on the side of the head are the ears, and then he does his best with the body, it usually ends up with a lot of limbs and such =) I asked if he was going to draw Kelsie too, but he said she's too small. Ha ha...He has said recently that, "Daddy's the tallest, I'm the smallest, Sister is the littlest, and Mommy's the biggest." Luckily he dubbed me the "biggest" person of the family while I was still pregnant.

Noodles and bad guys

Carter woke up this morning, came into Kelsie's room where I was changing her and said. "I had a dream!" This is the first time he's ever mentioned dreams, so I said, "Really? What was your dream?" Carter responded, "It was all about noodles and bad guys."

He seriously cracks me up...I love his cute self and the laughter and joy he brings to my days.
Kelsie is starting to look towards noises and voices she hears, which is fun! She also smiled big when Carter was holding her this morning...I don't care what everyone says...it's not gas!!! It was a true blue sweet smile =)

Welcome to the world...

She's here!!! our precious daughter, Kelsie Louise, was born Sunday, May 24 at 5:02pm. It was a wonderful labor and delivery and she came in at 7lbs 8oz and 20" long with a full head of dark hair! We call her our little indian baby because she looks like a little indian with her dark hair and skin. She got to come home on Tuesday after spending a night on a phototherapy bed for jaundice. (That was so not fun). She is the best baby, very sweet tempered and a good sleeper =) Yay us! Hopefully it stays! Carter is so excited to be a big brother and always wants to know where his baby is and loves showing her off to visitors. He, of course, asks lots of questions and every time I change her diaper, he makes a gross face at her belly button and says, "Get that off!" Ha ha...He is such a good helper and is adjusting very well to having a baby in the house. She makes it pretty easy on all of us =) Here's some pictures:

Proud parents...she finally arrived!!!

What a proud Daddy...he just loves holding his little girl
Thank you to all of our family for all of your love and support the last year and a half trying to make the arrival of this little angel possible. We are so thrilled she's finally with us! Thank you, especially, for my mom and staying with Carter while we were at the hospital, and everyone for making him feel loved while his mommy and daddy weren't around. That was a great blessing! We are so thankful for our Heavenly Father blessing us and trusting us with these two precious little souls.

Will my baby have hair?

I so need to catch up on this blog, but I've been so busy sewing NONstop so I can have everything ready by the time Kelsie arrives! PS, exciting news about that...I am scheduled to be induced on the 24th, if she hasn't come on her own by then (which probably not since that is 6 days before my due date). That is exactly 2 weeks from today I will be holding our new little newborn bundle of goodness!!! I can't wait...what's more is I can't wait to be able to sit down without feeling my belly pushing in between my legs and breathing while bending over! Ha ha.

Now, about where the title for this post came from...we were coming home late tonight from Mother's Day celebration at my Mother-in-law's and Carter totally fell asleep in the car. I had looked back a couple times, and he was for sure out. Well, all of a sudden I hear:

"Mommy?! W-w-w-w-will my baby have hair?" (He stutters sometimes, especially when tired)
"Ummm....she'll at least have a little bit of hair." (I am laughing to Justin that Carter woke out of a dead sleep with this question.)
CARTER: "W-w-w-w-will you need to comb my baby's hair?"
ME: "Yeah, we'll need to comb it. Did you want to help me comb your baby sister's hair?"
CARTER: "Yeah, I'll help comb her hair, but only after she comes out."
ME: "Okay, you'll be a good big brother."

Then, we come inside, and Carter wants his "Big Choco Milk" (milk with some ovaltine in it) before he goes to bed, he says. (Anyone who knows Carter knows he's very crazy about the times he likes to drink milk, and doesn't drink it any other times during the day.) So I tell him afterwards, it's time to go straight to bed because it's late. As SOON as he finished his milk, he was asleep again on the couch, for good this time!

I seriously think he must've started having a dream in the car about the baby's hair or something with the way he popped out of sleep with those questions. So funny...
