My favorite little people

Our little princess is 8 months old now! We just can't believe how big she's getting! She loves yelling, climbing over things, and trying to keep up with her brother! She is such a cute and funny baby. She started pulling to stand and trying to climb on the couch just before the 8 month mark and loves man-handling all our push around toys. She doesn't quite have the walking motion down yet, but she does push things around and slowly walks with them. She also plays peek-a-boo and will put her arms in the air when you say, "Ta Da!" She also does this thing with her face where she scrunches her face and breathes really fast in and out of her nose. It is pretty funny and we just love it!
Here is my little helper, Mr. Carter Super-Sonic-Bad-Guy-Blaster! (Yes, he still calls himself this). He loves helping with dishes, scrubbing toilets, making sure Kelsie doesn't have anything she's not supposed to, and trying to make us laugh! The other day he made me some "soup" in his kitchen and after I "tried" a bite, he said, "You know what it has in it? Boogers and toilet water." He seriously is hilarious. He talks like such an adult all the time too and his new phrase is, "Sure is!" He cracks me up and just flat brightens my days =)

Preschool Activities and more...

This past week or two, it's been raining like crazy here, which is pretty unusual. So, I wanted to do an activity with Carter for his preschool stuff we do. So, we started with 3 different jars for our science experiment and put a different color of food coloring in each jar.

Then, we geared up and proceeded outside. We put one jar under where our roof was dripping down, one on the sidewalk where it was open for rainfall, and one under the tree to see which color would fill up the fastest. Our green jar under the roof filled up the fastest and the one under the tree only got a few droplets in it. He said he felt like Sid the Science Kid! (Love that show!) So, we concluded if one didn't want to get wet in the rain, it would be wise to seek shelter under a tree!
And then of course there had to be some splashing in the puddles and racing leaves in the gutter! Luckily Daddy got home to finish chasing the leaves down the street so I could go make us some hot soup inside!

January Birthdays

These are actually in reverse order, but, hey, that's the way it uploaded and I'm not gonna change it :) We had 4 fabulous birthdays in the month of January! Mom Wagasky's first, then mine, Makenze's and then Libby's! What a month of celebrations and family get-togethers!

Libby had a fun tea party where we were to dress "fancy" so Carter dressed fancy, but then changed into a GI Joe costume once we got there! Kelsie wore her cute tu-tu that my wonderful friend, Whitney, made her! I love her little diapered butt crawling around in the tu-tu...cutest thing ever, seriously!

The birthday girl showing off her fancy gear, and the brother-of-honor to the right =)

Makenze, at her birthday bash, which was at McDonald's! Smartest idea ever, Andrea for zero cost and clean-up! The kids had a blast playing in the inside gym!

My mom and Kelsie at Makenze's party...just look at those adorable pigtails. She just melts my heart!

Carter and Grandma Gill...can't separate these two for very long!

On my birthday, we went out to lunch to Sweet Tomatoes with the girls! It was so fun!

My good friend, Rashelle, and Danielle
Me and my mom and sister...love those guys to pieces!

This was my birthday night. My mom watched the kiddos while Justin took me to Viva Zappata's! Best food ever! I got this Jumbo Mexican shrimp that was stuffed with more shrimp and cheese, which was then wrapped in bacon and fried. And then this amazing sauce to dip it in. DELICIOUS!
This was Mom Wagasky's birthday! She had all her grandkids (that live on this side of the country) there!

Rewards

This month Carter has had two trips as rewards to filling up his chart! The first one was to go see the "Princess and the Frog." Libby and Danielle came with us and it was a lot of fun! It was a really cute movie, you should all see it! Ha ha

Danielle and I were super excited to see the poster for Eclipse! Yay! Can't Wait!

Last night we went to the M&M Factory on the strip. They have a free 3D movie to watch after walking through and then we each got a small bag of M&M's from the BIG selection they had! We all had a blast! If you're looking for something free and fun to do with the kiddos, I recommend this! Fairly quick trip (2 hours from leaving our house to leaving in our car from there) and free unless you buy M&M's.

Christmas...very late!

This is a very late Christmas posting, but I scrapbooked some pictures to post and then forgot to ever post them! I seriously am just busy-brained all the time now and I feel like it never slows down (like I was expecting and hoping after Christmas!). But I do oh so love all the family get-togethers and busy kids that keep my life so busy. I could do without the mess that I have to clean day after day, but it kinda goes with the territory, right?

Anyway, Christmas was a blast this year! Carter was so excited for Santa Claus and he just gets funner and funner every year! He loved our Santa advent calendar and asked for an "Ironman that does NOT talk and does NOT have a backpack." Very hard to find, by the way, but we convinced him the backpack and talking was pretty cool, and after Santa called him, he was A-okay with the slightly altered request.

Kelsie was our favorite little present around this year, of course and we loved that she started crawling around right before Christmas and ate all the wrapping paper! Ha ha...our cute little rugrat is so cute. She also started pulling her self to stand right before Christmas! Only is the thing she was using was chest level or lower could she stand, though. So, she enjoyed using all the square presents as hoists to stand against!

And lastly, Justin got me my beloved breadmaker that I have been LOVING!!!

Family Pictures

So, about a week and a half before Christmas, we went out to Floyd Lamb State Park to take family pictures. I've been wanting to do this for some time now, but finally we got around to it! Thankfully, Jason and Danielle came along with us so we could take turns taking each other's pictures! They turned out super cute...it's so pretty there!

LOTS OF PICTURES BELOW!!! =)

december recap

So, here is a very brief overview/recap of our December!
We set up our Christmas stuff, and Carter LOVED making decorations and anything else he could think of to put on our tree! Thanks to Mom Wagasky for letting us borrow one of her faux trees again this year, since we didn't have the cash to go buy one!
We helped Grandma and Grandpa Gill set up their Christmas tree and decorate too!

We attended Robert's Christmas concert for choir at his school!
This is a picture of one of three visits with Santa! Carter had his special request all planned out, an Ironman that has NO backpack and can NOT talk!
WE attended Justin's work Christmas party at which I won an ipod Touch! I love love love it!!!
We had Jason and Danielle over to build gingerbread houses with the kiddos!
Justin's sister, Shelly, who lives in Chicago was here for a visit, which we were extra excited for since she hadn't met Kelsie yet! This picture was taken at the Magical Forest we took the kids to! Super fun every year!
And Hayden got baptized! We are so proud of him! What a month leading up to Christmas, huh?
